Cia Ringertz is educated at Konstfack University of Arts, crafts, and Design (BFA) and at Umeå Academy of Art (MFA). 2018 She received Umeås significant culture scholarship
and price. As a visual artist, Ringertz is fascinated by color itself. She does not use color directly to create illusions. It is instead about examining the materials possibilities. She mainly uses paint and canvas, but also other. She searches for the tension between an introverted way of doing things with an extroverted expression. This has led her to take an interest in what can come out of a repetition.
