Josefina Malmegård works with video, photography, and installation. In her artistry, she tackles themes such as identity(s) and becoming a self and examines the conditions for creating a “self.” With the (video) camera as a tool, Malmegård allows the self to alternate between being an observer and being observed. Her work creates gaps where we didn’t know they existed, poses questions to its viewers, and pushes the boundaries of an accepted reality.
