Mafune Gonjo is educated at Tama Art University (BFA) in Japan and Konstfack University of Arts, crafts and Design (MFA). Gonjo regularly participates in group exhibitions and has exhibited in the USA, France, Germany, Great Britain, and Scandinavia. Her works are included in permanent collections at, among others, the National Museum in Stockholm, the Museum of American Glass – USA, the Toyama Glass Museum, and the Suwa Garasunosato Museum in Japan.
