About the work:
“- In the video installation Nature Clip Object concert, six projected musicians are shown with each instrument, built from sampled clips from nature films. By striking a shock of pigeons instead of a chord and blowing the note of a seal birth instead of a bagpipe, they create the one-by-one structure of sound and image through which they can express feelings and thoughts. Their behavior is subject to consideration, but so is their waiting. The installation image is from Rebecca Digby’s exhibition at the Art Academy 2019, photographed by the artist.” – Rebecca Digby.
Rebecca Digby: (b. 1987) Digby is educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (BFA, MFA). She mainly works with large-scale video installations and performances, often with elements of humor, surrealism, and music. She has participated in exhibitions in Sweden and abroad, including around Europe and Mexico City. 2018, she participated in the Modern exhibition at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm. She has received multiple scholarships and is established in the performative contexts.
