About the work:
“- In my artistic expression, I explore the layers between craft and artwork. Using visual languages such as hieroglyphs and ancient Nordic runes as a starting point, I examine how the intersections between our contemporary world and history can inspire new design.” – JP Wallner.
JP Wallner (b. 1988) was educated at the Malmö Academy of Art (BFA), Art Department (MFA), and Artistic Research at HDK Valand. Wallner has participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Sweden and has been noticed by magazines such as Sweden’s General Art Association.
